The Crooked
House - Dudley The Crooked house was built as a farmhouse in 1765, the pub was originally know as 'The Glynne Arms' and was named after Sir Stephen Glynne who owned the estate. The pub is no 4 feet lower on one side after a coal mine collapsed during the 1800's. The pub is now supported with buttresses and girders.

All the floors, walls and windows are
slanted which can cause an optical illusion that balls and marbles can roll
up hill. It is difficult to tell which way is up when the seating appears level yet the curtains hang to an angle. Beer has been known slide upwards on a table
